Many of the restaurants and stores were closed, but there were enough food outlets open to satisfy any hunger plus still maintaining social distancing rules. It was rewarding to see that passengers were adhering to the safety rules at the airport, for example I didn’t see a single person not wearing a mask.
The airport had removed tables or labelled them as unavailable and removed the seating around them in order to maintain safe distancing. General seating also was limited, but there were enough seats for everyone. However, I doubt whether this would be true had the airport been packed with normal passenger numbers during a normal August.
